Introducing the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre

In addition to the LMU campus, at least one of the eScience 2015 events will be held at Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ).

The centre is probably best known for hosting the SuperMUC (supercomputer with more than 150 000 cores). However, LRZ offers also a wide range of IT services for users in Bavaria, rest of Germany and internationally through numerous collaborations. The centre hosts also a state of the art Virtual Reality and Visualisation centre (V2C).

The computing centre is situated close to Munich, in the Garching bei München campus area, next to several departments of Max-Planck institute and Technische Universität München.

Programme outline, registration opening soon

We have just published the first skeleton of the conference programme on the website.  We hope to complement the outline with details of the conference and social programmes very soon. We are also planning to opening the conference registration  (with information about hotel packages etc) by the end of this month.

In the meantime, please do not forget the call for papers (both the one for the main conference track and the one for the environmental computing focus day).

Hope to see you in Munich in August-September!
