In addition to the LMU campus, at least one of the eScience 2015 events will be held at Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ).
The centre is probably best known for hosting the SuperMUC (supercomputer with more than 150 000 cores). However, LRZ offers also a wide range of IT services for users in Bavaria, rest of Germany and internationally through numerous collaborations. The centre hosts also a state of the art Virtual Reality and Visualisation centre (V2C).

The computing centre is situated close to Munich, in the Garching bei München campus area, next to several departments of Max-Planck institute and Technische Universität München.
